Helping People Fall in Love
With Their Work

About

We believe stories are how people make sense of the world – and themselves.

At Astu Studios, we work at the intersection of emotion and reason. Whether we’re scripting a feature film or shaping a brand’s identity, our aim is simple: to help people fall in love with their work – and the story behind it.

The name Astu means “so be it.” It comes from a moment of surrender, clarity, and deep trust in the creative journey. Since 2017, that spirit has guided everything we do. We take on projects that move us. We partner with people who believe in what they’re building. And we lead with intuition, because that’s where truth often hides.

We’ve seen how a well-made film can change how someone sees the world – even if, just for a moment. We’ve watched entrepreneurs look at their new logo and stand a little taller, reminded of what they’re building and why it matters. These are not just deliverables to us – they’re emotional markers. And we treat them with care.

Design, storytelling, cinema, branding – all of these are just languages we speak to say one thing: your story matters.

If we can help you tell it, so be it.

Surya Vasishta

The Founder

Surya is someone who grew into storytelling from an early age. From childhood performances to directing films, from shaping brands to scripting identities—he’s always seen design and narrative as two sides of the same truth: the need to feel something real. To move someone. To make meaning.

Astu Studios was born on Mother’s Day 2017. In a moment of quiet clarity, the name came first—Astu—a Sanskrit word meaning so be it. It felt like a promise to his purpose. Over time, it became more than a name – it became a compass, a reminder to stay honest, intuitive, and human in everything the studio creates.
